Blog On Me On Writing Natalie Mueller Comments Off on Featured in ‘Persuasive Copywriting’ by Andy Maslen

Publishing my work has always been a dream of mine, and now I can sort of check that item off of my bucket list. Sure, I didn’t publish my own work, but a few of my projects were featured in fellow copywriter, Andy Maslen’s latest book: Persuasive Copywriting: Using Psychology to Influence, Engage and Sell. I was incredibly flattered to be asked to contribute some of my projects to this book and even more flattered when I found out the section I was contributing to was all about using comedy and copywriting. According to Andy’s site: “Persuasive Copywriting takes you deep inside customers’ brains. You’ll learn the relationship between selling and storytelling. And the market-tested techniques that get people to engage with, and be persuaded by, your copy.” It feels like yesterday that I was...

On Me Natalie Mueller Comments Off on Two Habits of Incredibly Productive and Successful Natalies

“How do you do it?” the imaginary talk show host of the imaginary talk show I am a featured guest on inquires, “How do you manage to do all the glorious things you do, and with such grace, talent and general greatness!?” Imaginary host is baffled, as are many, by my unique ability to lead a stunning quadruple life as a writer, mother (of fur children), performer and occasional couch potato. Oh yes, I can potato just like the rest of them. Conquering TV series I should have watched 5-10 years ago and craving foods that I am just too lazy (or sore, I work out bruh) to get up and get. It’s remarkable, just how productive I can be when I structure my day and life in a way...

Current Projects Natalie Mueller Comments Off on Another Weekend of Whatever: The Wild World of Experiential Marketing

First off, fans of the Creative Spaces series will have to wait until March to read the latest feature on rock and roll photographer, Chris Hershman because I got pulled into a project and didn’t have time to transcribe it and write it up. I’d apologize, but that project I got pulled into was another fantastic weekend of Whatever on behalf of Mosaic Sales Solutions and Bud Light…and that’s not something I’m willing to apologize for. I have learned, however, that any work on a experiential marketing projects is damn near impossible to capture in a portfolio. It’s a shame, really, because the #UpForWhatever campaign has given me opportunities to stretch a lot of creative muscles that the average project just doesn’t touch. Having worked extensively on 2014’s Whatever, USA...

Creative Spaces Natalie Mueller Comments Off on Creative Spaces: Drew Mason, Surfboard Shaper

Edit: Drew has moved his crowdsourcing campaign to GoFundMe. I’ve learned a lot on all of my interviews for the Creative Spaces series, but let’s be honest. I didn’t know a damned thing about surfing before sitting down with this handsome lad. Drew Mason of LA does more than design and shape surfboards, he bleeds surfing. Well, his wife hopes he doesn’t have to bleed, but the man loves the sport, the community, the gear, everything about the world of surfing. After 20 years riding waves, he’s not at all surprised to find himself building his own little, independent surf empire: Mason Surf Designs. At present, Drew’s workspace isn’t perfect or even entirely his own, which is why he’s launched an indiegogo to raise funds. “Some day in the hopefully...

On Me Natalie Mueller Comments Off on Featured On #WindyCityWrites

I couldn’t possibly say no to an interview with fellow copywriter, Ben Owens. His blog series, Windy City Writes, features the musings of Chicago copywriters and is always a delightful read. Having had a few friends featured in the past, I jumped at the opportunity to provide Ben with the smart and sassy tidbits he craves. Check out the blog here.
